A New Journey

Wow! This past semester has been a crazy ride for me. In January, I found out that God had opened the door for me to return to the Philippines a year sooner than I was expecting. It has been a whirlwind of filling out applicatoins, doing tests, having interviews, finding references, and answering questions, but God has continued to open door after door for me to continue in this path. Somtimes it seems as though I have become a bit bipolar throughout this experience - one moment I will be so overwhelmingly excited at the idea of going and being back at Faith, and the next moment I am grieving over the losses that I will be facing a year from now. I know God is faithful and will continue to be throughout this change.

Now that summer is here, my training is closer than ever! I have been officially accepted as a teacher at Faith Academy, and during training with SEND this summer, I will be officially accepted as a missionary! That won't be too long from now! Until then, I am busy working on creating my contact list, as I need to have that mostly completed before training. I also have a little bit more reading to do. I am reading a book called "Funding Your Ministry," which is a fabulous book! I read it before I went to the Philippines the first time, and it gave me a great mindset and many ideas on raising support. I am enjoying re-reading it.

I am also spending time preparing to speak at Bon Homme Bible Camp the week of June 10 - 13. I am going to be speaking on Who Jesus Is, with John 20:31 as our theme verse. As I have been reading through John, it has been interesting for me to see how all of John has people questioning who Jesus is. I am excited to share these stories with the kids. Please be in prayer for me as I prepare the lessons. Be in prayer for the kids who will hear the message, that they will believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. Only the Holy Spirit can reveal this to them!

I will do my best to keep you updated! Thanks for your prayers!
